Untitled Poem, Nedzad Alikadic Gorazde, 1992

"Europe, protect your own land,
Stop the death and suffering of your own kind,
Alone, I can not defend,
A desire that is our bind.

Even of our roots, you should care,
Since your freedom too, grows from there,
Stand up to fascism, that in its core,
Wants Bosnia, to be no more.

In Bosnia, there is life
The strength burning in our midst,
Will prove, through our strife,
That this country does exist."
Never forget the Bosnian war, never forget Sarajevo
